Ketchup

As in catch up.

It's been raking the yard, starting the seeds,  cleaning the barn, washing the blankets and rugs, getting ready for the farmer's market, planning my parents 50th anniversary party, and taking care of a couple of new born calves.

We're still remodeling the house.  I STILL have to finish mudding the livingroom and then pick a color scheme.  Anyone want to help?  My kithchen is done in light blue and yellow.  I don't know if I want a warm color scheme, an accent wall, something to match the kitchen?  Then I'm going to varnish the hardwood floors.  Paint my bedroom in mint and peach?

How about ideas for the anniversary party?  We have polka music and just some sandwiches, fruit and vegies and dip.  It's an open house at a nearby school.  Any frugal???  ideas.  I made up the invites on the computer.  Planning on doing up vegie trays myself.  Have you seen what they want for them, even at Wal-Mart?

It's a gorgeous day, again.  Cool and sunny.  After lunch it's back to cleaning the barn and the yard.

That's it from Glory Farm.

May you bring Glory to the Father this day.

I am hoping to maybe sell some of these bags, but first I have to make a few and get the pattern down...I will post pics when they are done...

Anniversary party huh.. hmmm lets see...how many folks are you thinking? are you just wanting snacky types foods? are you going with a cake?

We did kind of a appetizer buffet when DH and I married.

instead of making sanwiches, make a meat and cheese tray, cut the cheeses in smaller pieces, meat as well.. buy rolls to use for the bread, as in biscuit type rolls, about that size...wraps are also very good and easy to do ahead, meatballs with Ketchup and grape jelly is good, and crockpotable. Little weiners with BBQ sauce, also crock pot. Get or make some of those oversized muffins or loaves of bread like pumkin, applesauce, zuchini, blueberry and slice them on a plate... Cake plates make very pretty serving dishes.. put various cookies, maybe cheesecakes, cupcakes, on them.. There is a recipe for very merry bars on my blog that are pretty and very good... for center pieces maybe buy some tulips or whatever flowers are in and just put one or three buds in a vase... keep it odd numbered... confettie makes a neat thing to spread around on tables with hershey kisses... sure wish I lived closer I love doing these kinds of things... and dont be afraid to get other sibs and close friends involved hth..
