Computer Died-RIP

It happened to me.  My motherboard died.  I am blessed to still have a computer to use, it's old, it's not mine, but it's available.  I am unable to post from my camera so these will be entirely text entries.  Now is not a good time for us to consider a new computer.  I'm keeping an eye on Freecycle just in case I can find something a bit more modern.

Not having a good computer has freed up so much more of my time that I'm considering a part time job.  You think I jest-but no.  I spent way too much time on here before the death of my computer.  I've had more time to spin, sew, braid rugs, do paperwork, even clean!!!

I'm thinking on getting a couple of little hogs to raise.  I'd like to order more chicks and I'm waiting on my cows to drop a few calves soon. I'll be having my rabbits bred in a couple of weeks. Babies in the spring.  Don't ya love it?

Computers...we love to hate them...or something like that! As with all technology, they are fun when they work right. My computer is as far as I have gotten.
Clean....what's clean! :)
There are always things more fun to do than clean. But yeah, someone has to do it.
The cow looks almost fierce....

Blessings!
I know the freedom of having no computer (or an old one) :) I find that after just a few days I have nearly forgotten about it and realize how much time I actually have on my hands that the computer has used up in my day!
I can't blame my husband on this one. Although he loves the computer and would spend all day on it, given the chance, he also knows when to walk away. Me? I tend to get too involved in searching for things. Information, items, ideas and so forth.
There are days when I want to toss it out and never see one again. Then there's something I want to know and there I am on the computer again...sigh.
God be with thee!

My heart is unsure whether to rejoice or hurt. I know you enjoyed time on the computer, but I look forward to seeing what opportunities the free time will provide! Keep in mind, if nothing else, I don't use my laptop all summer. From May on, its either yours or my empty desk's. Love you.

If you live anywhere near a college/university campus, check with them and see if they have a Property Management Dept. That dept might have a re-sale store. Most items are available STRICTLY within the college campus, but they are often open at least one day a week to the general public. Sometimes you can get computers that way, cheap (as in under a hundred bucks cheap). They are older and you would need to wipe and do an install of an operating system-Windows whatever or Mac whatever-but it's one way to get a working computer.
