Dogsled Races

Winter can get to be very long.  Now is the time for most of the local dogsled races.  There's the Beargrease, the UP200, Ely  and the White Oak.  My daughter has been running dogs for a couple of months now getting ready for the White Oak.  This will be her first race.  She's been taking care of the dogs for quite awhile, but this is the first year she gets to take out her own team.  The race is on Saturday and we're tagging along as handlers.  Looks like a lot of fun and some good fellowship.

That is so neat. my daughter Kristen wants to race a dog sled team someday. She has Iditarod t-shirts and all kinds of fun things from Alaska. I hope she is able to live her dream someday. It is a little hard to do much where we live here in Ca. I pray your daughter has a fun and safe time!

That sounds sooo fun! I have seen such races on TV but to see it in person must really be something. I hope your daughter did well in it. What great memories she is gonna have.

She had a wonderful time and loves being with her dogs. She's ready to do it again.
