Wool Rug

Wow!  Blog entries two days in a row.  Feeling homesteady, I guess.
Today I started an experiment with my loom.  I'm making a rug out of wool fiber.
I card this and twist it into a long rollag.  Then I use it for the weft in the rug.
I know there has to be an easier way than the way I'm doing this.  I plan on washing it after it's done so the fibers can bind better.  I'll post a picture when it's finished.  (But only if it turns out.)

Weaving fascinates me . . . but I definitely don't need another medium in which to play! So I'll just enjoy your weaving and posts about same. Even it doesn't "turn out" you'll have gained some experience. Right? You'll have to excuse me now while I go rip out about 14 rows of knitting . . .

Mama Pea-the rug didn't turn out. I have a plan for kitchen towels. Never discouraged for long.

Got any pictures you care to share so we can see what you mean? I read somewhere that if you don't have frequent failures, you're not being creative enough. (Ha! Works for me!!) ;o]
