What a wonderful bounty of lusciousness came out of your oven today! Had to laugh at your cry for help when facing the mound of dishes such a day makes though. And it's not funny, believe me, I know! Anytime you spend any amount of time in the kitchen, dirty dishes seem to materialize from thin air.
I'm going to make your cranberry cookies. They look so festive. Thanks for sharing the recipe. - February 24, 2014 at 6:08 PM

Mama Pea,
The cranberry cookies use a lot of sugar, but maybe that's what makes them so good. They tend to get mushy in the cookie jar, haven't figured out a way to fix that. Maybe just eat them all right away.

I wonder what would happen if I just left out the powdered sugar? Just the brown sugar and white sugar would be about the same amount for "usual" cookie recipes. (Would it be the powdered sugar that is causing them to get mushy in storage?) With the less amount of sugar, would they be too "puckery" because of the cranberries then? Just a thought . . . how 'bout substituting craisins for the cranberries? Methinks I need to get busy and see if I can totally botch them up!!

Some of that looks pretty tasty. I usually end up putting my currants or high bush cranberries in muffins or in a cranberry cheese bread. They are nice and tart.....so, yum! I think I may still have some peaches left myself. But, I usually freeze them. They tend to end up on waffles with whipped cream on top. That makes a yummy start to a day once in a while too. :) But cookies....hmmmmm :)
